Memorial Trees:
A Living Choice
Most people don’t know they have more than one option. A Memorial Tree is a place in a protected forest—somewhere real, somewhere you can return to, somewhere that grows.
Just one conversation can clarify your options.
No pressure. No obligation.
It comes down to three things
What happens to the body?
What happens to the ashes?
Where does remembrance live?
A Memorial Tree is a natural answer to this question.
A traditional cemetery
isn't the only answer
Memorial Trees honor life differently than cemeteries.
- A living forest, not a row of tombstones
- Somewhere that reflects your love of nature
- Preserved within a conservation forest, forever
- A peaceful, uplifting place you’ll want to return to
- Share with people and pets across generations
Still figuring it out? A Guide can walk you through it.

People like you choose Memorial Trees
The common thread isn’t tradition, it’s values.

People who love
the outdoors
Those happiest outside in nature,
in a forest, on a trail, near water.

People who care
about the planet
Conservation matters; they want their
resting place to matter to the earth too.

People who want
something simple
No formal ceremony.
Just something meaningful and lasting.

Couples who are
planning together
Side by side at the same tree.
One place that holds both of them.

Adult children who
want to visit parents
Not out of obligation, but whenever
they feel like they need connection.

Families who want
to stay together
One tree, shared by family
and pets for generations.
When ashes are still at home
Holding ashes and not
sure what comes next?
Sometimes keeping ashes at home feels right, until it starts to feel unfinished.
Holding ashes and wondering what comes next? A Memorial Tree gives ashes a permanent home.
- Give ashes a final resting place in nature
- You can keep some ashes and spread some
- Hold a ceremony as unique as your loved one
- Visit when you need to remember or feel close
Wondering what comes next?

Frequently Asked Questions
Still have questions?
Where do I start?
Start with a call. You don’t need to have anything figured out first. A Guide will ask a few questions, answer yours, and by the end you’ll have a much clearer picture—even if you don’t do anything else that day.
What is a Memorial Tree?
It’s a real tree—your tree—in a protected Memorial Forest. When someone passes, their ashes are returned to the earth at the base of it. The tree stays. The forest stays. Families can visit whenever they want, for generations.
How do families choose a Memorial Tree?
Usually by talking to a Guide first. They’ll walk you through the forests, show you different trees, and help you get a feel for what fits. There’s no obligation to buy anything on the call.
Can more than one person be included?
Yes. A lot of couples buy a tree together and plan to share it. You can also add family members and pets to the same tree over time, at any point.
Can pets be included?
Yes. Pets are $300 to add, and they can be part of the same tree as your family members.
Are Memorial Trees available in every Everis forest?
Yes. All nine forests have Memorial Trees available. Your Guide can help you explore each location.
Can families visit their Memorial Tree?
Absolutely! That’s one of the things families love most about it. You can come back any time, bring whoever you want, and walk the trails. It’s your tree.
What if I already have ashes—can they be placed at a Memorial Tree?
You can still do this. A lot of families come to us months or even years after a loss. You pick your tree, plan your ceremony when you’re ready, and your Guide takes care of everything from there.
